And thus on saturday evening,we all set off for the game(after a lot of cancellations,
substitutions…)I had always wanted to attend three games in the states-
basketball,soccer and baseball.Finally one wish was granted.
It was a local game-Durham Bulls vs Rochester RedWings.We entered to a packed
stadium.The atmosphere was festive,making me sad as i recalled that in India,
there’s not even half this crowd even for Ranji trophy!Well,i had the previous
night wikied all details about the game and pestered a friend to explain
all the rules :).The first part was interesting and i was proud that i could follow
the game and could call the strikes and balls correctly

Then,halfway through it got boring.Must admit,i find cricket more interesting than
baseball!Durham Bulls had scored 6 runs as opposed to Rochester who had just
scored 3.And then,Rochester did a home run..scored 4 runs in one shot and the
game suddenly  became interesting.The crowd awoke…And the after 9 innings
(which is the norm),it was a tie..So they played another innings,no avail….
Both teams were neck to neck.Another one..Then,we were too late,had to be
at a friends b’day party by 12.So left reluctantly.Then later heard that Rochester
won.Well,even though i was supporting the Bulls,i smiled at the news since i liked
the way they came back into the game and won
